What We Do
Our mission is bold and only achievable through collaboration. We partner with visionary organization and individuals dedicated to empowering young people, driving innovation, and creating impact across communities.
Who We are
Young and Gifted Youth Development Initiative (YaGYDi) is committed to advancing, cultivating essential life, developing, and promoting 21st-century skills among young individuals aged 15 to 40 through the UN Sustainable Development Goals—especially SDGs 3, 4, 5, 8, 16, and 17.
Why We Exist
Across Africa, millions of young people are talented, driven, and ready to build solutions, but they lack access to enabling structures, career guidance, leadership exposure, and meaningful global opportunities. In an age of digital revolution, climate change, rising unemployment, and civic disengagement, the continent’s youth need more than motivation; they need platforms that equip and connect.
At YAGYDI, we bridge this gap through actionable programs that prioritize:
- Mentorship
- SDG Research and Development
- Campaign and Community Advocacy
- Education for Sustainable Employability and Career Development
- Global Citizenship Education
- Global Leadership
At YaGYDi, we research, design, and deliver sustainable youth engagement programs that create lasting change at the community level. Our work is rooted in the 21st-century and SDGs and inspired by the realities of underserved African communities and beyond.
🔹 Reproductive & Community Health (SDG 3)
We deliver mobile outreaches that offer free blood group and genotype testing to support the government in tackling the Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), prenatal ultrasound scans, mental health support, and basic health education to underserved communities.
Education, Mentorship & Digital Empowerment (SDG 4 & 8)
We connect young people to mentors, research coaches, and digital training. Our career labs and innovation clinics equip youth with practical, 21st-century skills to thrive in local and global environments
Women & Girls Empowerment (SDG 5)
We support gender equity through community outreach, sexual health awareness, school programs, and female-led leadership development initiatives.
